2024 Walk By Moonlight, Summer Event Series Dates

Walking Tour of Georgetown! Visit the businesses in each of the three (3) town zones along East & West Main St, listen to live music along the route, check in at our welcome table near the center of town at any point in your night to get a "walk by moonlight" button and entry into the free raffles/giveways. You can also buy additional tickets and make donations to support Walk By Moonlight! Come have a fun night walking around Georgetown to get to know the businesses with raffles, giveaways, and special offers at each business. Watch along the route for the Green Flags at Participating Businesses. Participating Businesses/Tables are invited to take part in the scavenger hunts for each event: Chasing Rainbows, Cookie Crawl, Fetching Frogs, & Footprints in History!

HISTORICAL NOTE - Did you Know? This area was the center of Rowley West Parish or New Rowley in colonial times - the incorporation of Georgetown wasn’t until in 1838.

HISTORICAL NOTE - Did you Know? This area of Harry Murch Park contains memorials for Veterans of WWI, WWII and an all services memorial. It is also known as Skunks Point (referenced in the Georgetown Advocate newspaper on November 25, 1876, Vol 3 Issue 7).

HISTORICAL NOTE - Did you Know? This area at 5 Middle Street, 3 bay fire station 1875. This fire station is where 2 of the 3 Georgetown firemen were serving when killed in the great Christmas Fire of 1885. The 3rd firemen was from the Washington 3 station on the corner of Central Street and East Streets. And the Central Fire Station is now a private residence.
