Our History
Established in early 2023 with a $1,000 micro-grant from the Awesome Georgetown Foundation, Walk by Moonlight grew from community collaboration and input. Monthly planning meetings at the Georgetown Peabody Library paved the way for our inaugural event in September 2023, with over 50 local businesses and organizations participating and more than 150 attendees.
Our Mission
Our mission is to host Walking Tours & Events in your local area to get to know your town businesses/organizations/talents, with an intent to build interest, grow customers, and continue to support the town community & local businesses.
Our Focus
Walk by Moonlight focuses on featuring businesses, talents, organizations, etc., that support the local community. Through monthly business networking meetings and an annual event series, we highlight and support Georgetown's diverse offerings, fostering connections and strengthening community ties.
Expansion in 2024
In 2024, we are expanding to offer neighboring businesses the opportunity to get involved and set up tables in our event’s table villages. This expansion aims to further promote collaboration and support among local businesses while enriching the experience for attendees.
